You made the mistake of staying in the city......and its boring. You should have asked the locals, and gone to Freo, you would have had a blast.

Fool!!

I do not think Perth is rubbish. Of course everything is far out from everything. That is Australia - it is a BIG place.

People do not visit Australia because of the night life. The reason people travel to different countries is because of THE DIFFERENCES. If you go to another country expecting the night life to be the same as your country then you might as well stay in your country. It seems you are the kind of person who will think anywhere is boring because it is not the same as home.

Well... you DID ask for an opinion. Thanks for the two points.

I went there when I was 14, I thought it was great, on the beach every day, I came home with a lovely tan!

I know what you mean. It can be a little boring. It's just far away from other major cities. But its a good city...I think.

It depends on how you expirience it

i live in perth and i would NEVER tell somebody to come to perth for the nightlife - but if you love beaches, wineries, relaxing, surfing, fishing, amazing scenery! well then it is the place to come. not much beats sitting at the cott or the obh on a sunday night in summer with a nice cold drink in your hand watching the sunset! and rottnest! one of the most beautiful places on earth in my opinion!

I loved Perth! I think it really reminded me of home. I didn't personally experience the nightlife myself, but I understood it to be quite lively in Northbridge. It's not far from the city...you could walk or take one of the free busses. If I remember correctly, one of the busses drops you off right in front of one of the clubs there.

Perth may not be as chaotic as melbourne or sydney, but it is a great city. The night life is huge, if you bothered to look, and there are heaps or interesting places to visit. I love Perth!! If you don't like it so much, don't come back!
