hey thanks for the question, i've lived in Oz all my life and i couldnt imagine living anywhere else... the people are generally friendly and really laid back, and we definately have a lot of spirit, especially when it comes to our sports.
a typical day depends on the weather/what season it is.... in summer, most ppl like to watch the cricket and drink some beers with mates, or have a bbq with mates. some people do the same things that people in other countries would do, go shopping, hang out with friends, go to bars and socialise. to me australia is just very easy going and anything goes, we're less judgemental than a lot of ppl, just dont diss our sports or our beer. (especially if ur a guy lol)
come and visit, we're a pretty welcoming bunch

I am a proud Aussie and my typical day is wake up go to the beach, go to work, come home, eat dinner, go to the beach for a snorkle or spear fishing, come home again, drink some beers and watch American shows on TV.

I am an Australian living (unfortunately) in New Zealand. I LOVE Australia and get very homesick. I was fortunate enough to live near the beaches north of Sydney when I was growing up and I could go to the beach all the time and surf. Even better is the Sunshine Coast of Queensland but it gets pretty hot there - not that I'd mind that. It's great to hear someone call us "cool". In New Zealand they call us lots of things, but none of them pleasant (just a bit of friendly rivalry really)

they say you have to live somewhere else before you can truly appreciate how good australia is.
but i live in brisbane and i love it.
the best part of living in australia is the weather (minus the whole drought thing...)
and it really is an extremely relaxed environement compared to like europe.
uhh for fun we do what most people do i suppose.
play sport, go shopping etc.

A typical day? Like everyone else in the world, we get up go to work/school/uni/look after our kids, then clean the house, cook dinner and go to sleep! Then, like everyone else in the world, we go and do fun stuff when we can. What we do depends on who we are. Sport is pretty popular, but I'm not into it myself.
Lets see, my typical day:
*Not get enough sleep because I'm a rabid insomniac and am still feeding my daughter 2 or 3 times a night. I would usually complain at my hubby for snoring, but he's on the couch tonight and I'm still suffering from insomnia!
*Check my email while my daughter plays on the floor
*Feed her and change her through the day
*Try and get the washing on, and a bit of other housework done.
*Entertain the girly for most of the afternoon as she is less inclined to play by herself.
*Hand her over to daddy when he gets home, then take her back so he can cook tea.

We go to a Steiner playgroup every Tuesday morning, the chiropractor once a fortnight, shop weekly and visit my grandmother usually once a week. We are involved with the SCA (going to a picnic later today) and wherever time and energy allows (which being an insomniac I don't have much of) I will read, do craft, go to the library. Once in a while we'll jump in the car and go somewhere. I took my grandmother down to a lavender farm a few weeks ago. It was her birthday, and she was feeling a bit neglected by her other grandkids, so we lived it up a bit :) That was about an hour away. I might just wander down to the market this morning. I'm looking for a wooden train toy for my daughter for Christmas and I'm hoping the wood turner's association has their Christmas stall going.

Doesn't sound much different to any of the other mums you know does it?

it's nice but too many flies ,annoying voiced birds and you can't understand what are Australians saying because they have a weird accent when they want to say how are you they sound like hoyuya
