Like all beer in Oz,different brands are in vogue ,then out of ,and in comes another.Used to be a fav,but not for many years.
It was more a Victorian beer, but back in the 1980's,things changed and Australian beer started to go into other states as the beer companies started to take over each other.
Fosters is the Brand that is most advertised around the world, much like Guinness is to Ireland |

I don't know any Australians who drink it either, yet it seems to be the beer Americans associate is with. My husband drinks VicBitter, and he couldn't get it in USA - only Fosters. It isn't even promoted much in Australia anymore. |

I think I must be un-Australian because I really, really don't like the taste of beer, any beer.
Now that I've told the world my shameful secret, will I have to move to some foreign land? |

Foster's Lager is out of fashion. I think "Barry Mackenzie" was the death blow for it in Australia. There are better brews in Australia, XXXX was always better, but Coopers is better again . |
