You don't say where in Australia. It's pretty big.
Of course, there are things to do wherever you are, like opening a few tinnies and spending all your money on the pokeys. But you shouldn't do too much of that.
Australia has places to see.
My experiece is only of New South Wales and Queensland.
If you're in Sydney, you don't need to ask. A drink at Darling Harbour; a tour to the Hunter Valley wine region; a trip to the Blue Mountains; a visit to Sydney Opera House; a water taxi to Doyle's; a walk through the street market under the Bridge at The Rocks. Ah, I miss it all.
If you're on the Gold Coast (Queensland), you must go to Fraser Island. Fabulous. And the drive along Forty-Mile Beach is great. If you're in Brisbane, diving at the Great Barrier Reef, or sky-jumping.
Ah, you're just 19. Hmm, Fraser Island may be out then.
And if you're not in Sydney, never mind, Australia is fantastic.
When you're there, you'll know.

Well let's see - you're 19 but not up to long walks hmmm.. so cut out long sessions on Bondi Beach.. or in the sack... or the Beach Bunker bar Sydney..or travelling long distances (on a par with long walks) so..er...eh...next plane home?

surfing. hands down.

Go for really really long walks, thats what everyone comes to Australia for.

We have all walked through the nullabor plain, it's great such a lack of scenery, all desert, amazing, best experience.

We also LOVE do to things while walking, like playing hackey sack, its really great. I mean if you come to Australia and don't play hackey sack while going on long walks, you have wasted your air fare.
