Best place to stay in Queensland is definitely NOT Melbourne. Because Melbourne is NOT in Queensland.

You heard that "there's a storm that recently strucked [sic] brisbane"? That does not make Brisbane a worse place than others. ANYWHERE in Australia do suffer real extreme weather from time to time. It can happen ANYWHERE. .

Cheers

Just a little advice... Melbourne is the Capital of Victoria...... (not in Queensland)

Not Melbourne.....just because Melbourne isn't IN Queensland.

abc easy as 123
gold coast!

Melbourne isnt in Queensland im sorry.

and so what about a storm? you get them everywhere. If you dont like a good storm, this country is not good for you.

otherwise try Southeast QLD.

hmmmm,
Storms have struck nearly everywhere in Queensland over the past two weeks, and by the way Melbourne isn't in Queensland, it's in Victoria. I would say the best place would be the Gold Coast because it isn't as busy as Brisbane and the beaches are nicer.

It depends where your work is. you don't want commuting to work to be a long way off. There are lots of lovely places around Brisbane and The Gold Coast Brisbane is 1 hour drive from the Gold Coast but would take longer in rush hour. The weather is semi tropical .can get very hot in Summer . the winters are perfect , cooler nights mostly sunny days. Yes we have had storms ,the rain was needed as we don't get a lot of rain and get water restrictions. Life style suits me . I think its wonderful. Love it.

Brisbane is a great place to live in Queensland. It's the capital city.

Check out ourbrisbane.com.au

Queensland is sub tropical (Tropical in the north) so we have intense summer storms. The one you heard about (Last week) was the worst in a long time, however, heading in to summer they are bound to happen.

The suburbs to the north are reasonably affordable, close to the sunshine coast (Beaches and babes) and a great family environment. They are well serviced by public transport and have a few good shopping centres (Chermside, Sunshine Plaza, North Lakes).

If you are worried about storms when you get here check bom.gov.au it is the national weather site and has radars and warnings. :)

The Redlands! There's heaps of green and red, so much space! But we have to go the city for work, so yeah, Brisbane!
