Im pleased to report that Im a true blue Aussie and got 20/20. I didnt think it was that hard, with a little googling, most people could get it right

I'm a kiwi living in Australia. I got 17/20. A bit ashamed of not knowing how long the indiginous population have been here, other than that thought I did alright. (Who cares who the first prime minister was, etc)

I think the test should be harder, if anything, and include a english language test.

Wow I was emailed that exact test today and passed with flying colours. Good to know that I actually listened to my teachers when in school! I am 6th generation Aussie and would be embarrassed if I had have gotten any wrong and put my ancestors to shame!

It was ever thus. Immigrants are often held to (indeed, often hold themselves to) a higher standard than the rest of us. I shouldn't be surprised if something as daft as a brief rendition of the Australian national anthem (How could anyone in their right mind have chosen Advance Australia Fair over Waltzing Matilda?) was eventually part of every prospective citizen's application process. Do you know the words? I also think "How many states does Australia have?" is a trick question - only six - the other two are territories, ha ha! Australia's first prime minister ... anybody?
