It depends on what you like. Melbourne is more known for shopping and art museums. Also its the gateway to the Victorian wine region. Brisbane on the other hand tends to more about the beaches and water sports.
For culture go to Melbourne but for the beaches go to Brisbane. |

Go Melbourne, trust me!! There's way more sights to see and it's just overall nicer.
The weather in Melbourne is good, too. At the end of May it is only a little chilly but that's to be expected when it's the colder months :]
