It could cost around $10,000 but this may vary according to the quotes given by car transporters and that doesn't include customs and import duties, registration and insurance. So you could be out of pocket as much as $20,000. Is it worth it to bring you car here with you? We have NOT got that brand here in Australia and you may find it difficult to get it serviced and get parts etc.

silkin_storm
It is costly and you will have to pass our road safety rules to register it . Then you may have to have a sign on it to say its left hand drive.

Unless the car is worth a mint as a classic its not really worth bringing/

Elizabeth
Yes you can but I think you may find it's more trouble and expense than it's worth.

tuppenybitz
yes you can ,you will have to pay import duties and the car must pass our safety inspection every year, and it must be registered every year

No trouble if the car is roadworthy, you'll pay for it though.

Blood Makes Noise
We drive on the left hand side of the road here....May take a little getting used to. Good Luck.

J.R.
I have seen classic left hand cars in Australia. Not sure about any new models

Mel
Honestly for a 2007 model its not worth it, if it was an expensive vehicle perhaps but an Acura is not. You will pay rego and insurance like everyone else plus the fees of importing the vehicle, test and registration additional fee's because its left hand drive, additional insurance premiums and so forth.

Sell the car and buy a new one over here, it would be cheaper. http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au may have more info on the process involved.

Yes you can bring it in. You'll need to get in registered with Aus licence plates when you are in (I think)
