Can anyone recommend which national park in SA to visit and stay at for one week in early December?

My boyfriend and I live in Adelaide so want to stay within the SA borders. We want to do some rock climbing and lots of bush walking and also just relax. We’re happy to either camp or stay in a lodge.

I also suggest Flinders Ranges. It is an awesome place to go rock climbing.,
For another place you could always go to Innes National Park on the Yorke Pennisular. That is also a good place for climbing, but it would be climbing cliffs instead of mountain ranges.
Innes is a great place to do all that you might want to do. You can relax, climb, bush walk, swim what ever you want

Hmmmmm, the bloke above me has his wires crossed!

Flinders Ranges would be the go, I`m sure it would have everything you mentioned. Google it, you should find heaps of info.

Flinders rangers national park, very relaxing, Caravan park and hotel/motels, bush walking and rock climbing. If you dont have a 4x4 tke a tour. Maybe even do some droving while you r there.

I advise, if you r not used to going there to print off directions from the RAA website

marlu
Flinders Rangers. You can camp or stay in cabins. Happy holidays.

I suggest you check out the Flinders Ranges. There are a number of small towns you could stay in, including Laura and Melrose. There some gorges and bush trails as well as some lovely views.

Yep!! The Flinders, Wilpena Pound is the go.

Innes national park it's down the bottom of Yorke Peninsula, it's a beautiful spot that time of year and in the heat you can go for a surf.

The Flinders Ranges are wonderful - with beautiful scenery and great walks.

Another beautiful area is Deep Creek Conservation Park. Right on the SA Coast close to Cape Jervis where the ferry will take you across to Kangaroo Island.

Torres del Paine NP in southern Chile offers everything on your list. Just hop on a plane from Sydney to Santiago, then fly to Punta Arenas. The Park is a 4 hour drive or bus to the north.
