Can anyone tell me if you get geckos in Sydney? I may be moving there and hate the things!!?

Additional Details
I don't hate them when they are outside and leave me alone. I am from Durban, South Africa and am tired of them living in my house, in my cupboards, on my curtains etc. You just never know when one is going to run out under your feet or fall on you from the ceiling.

You will occasionally find them in suburbs with a lot of bush around.

Welcome "new2oz" yes we have geckos but if you have a cat or a dog you won't see any!

You shouldn't unless you live around the national parks. I've lived in Sydney all my life and never saw one.

I moved from Sydney to Brisbane, after 10 years, and had never seen any before I arrived in Brisbane, so guess they are not in Sydney.
