We're too damn friendly... Bad things, well our politicans suck but thats kind of a universal thing, The cost of living is in general rather expensive but our wages are substantial to off side the costs. Our interest rates keep on sky rocketing, going up every other week at current. Thats all I can really think of, you wont have a problem with the people, we're very open and accomodating.
Good luck and welcome to Australia.
EDIT - People are very biased towards there own state, loads of rivalry which is mostly uncalled for. No one but yourself can tell you where is best to live.
If you have any other questions feel free to email me via the link on my profile. |

Best country in the world. Virtually no unemployment - anyone who wants to work can get a job. Peaceful, great climate, beautiful beaches, fantastic lifestyle. It's not perfect, but I've never come across anywhere with fewer problems. |

We have strict water restrictions because of the drought, some places of Australia the restrictions are stricter than others (there's about 5 or 6 levels I think). |

There's no way I'm going to say anything bad about my own country - as far as I'm concerned it's a top place to live, warts an' all. |

I come from New Zealand and have grown up with alot of South Africans. Australians vary from state to state. Friends from Sydney think Queenslanders are rude?? So really it varies. Overall I can tell you my opinion from experiences I have had. Queenslanders are rude, there are alot of bogans here and people here drink alot- trust me a 6 pack a day is considered normal. They are also very funny, open and easy gong. I grew up on the coast and I was accepted which I found suprising as I am indigenous. I love QLD and think it is beautiful. Australians have a disgusting attitude towards their indigenous people. Overall though Aussies are cool. I wouldnt live anywhere else!! |
