Wouldn't try it - you may end up in gaol, especially now you've put it on Yahoo! If customs catch you with them you will pay a high price. |

90?!
Come on... are you kidding? You can't "smuggle" 1 or 2 let alone 90.
What are you planning to do with them? Sell them? They will question you like that if they catch you.
Here in Australia, they are raiding more places than ever which sell pirated DVDs and penalising those caught heavily and for YOU to go through Customs like that...?
Seriously... |

Do NOT RISK IT! Australian Customs and Quarantine are some of the strictest in the Western world and they won't take a bribe like some places. 90 dvds will stick out like a wart on your face, you'd be better off sending them to yourself via airmail. |

No, you will get busted and then face a huge fine, and/or court appearance. It is just not worth the risk |

Tsk Tsk.... people giving advice should at least give accurate answers.
There is no law that prohibits you from bringing pirated DVD's or CD's into Australia, unless..... they are intended for sale or supply to a third party.
If you brought in 90 of the same DVD, you can say goodbye to them and face a possible court appearance as the intent of bringing them into Australia is obvious. Being all different, there is no problem if you bring them in as an individual and not for commercial purposes.
This came about with the lawsuit that Sony commenced about 6 years ago, where Sony lost. This came about where they tried to legally stop the use of Mod-chips that would allow Australian Playstations (PAL) to play foreign games that could be legally purchased on mail order from licensed game stores outside of Australia for a third of the price. Sony's attempt to sue backfired where they not only lost the case, but the higher courts ruled that copied games and media for personal use (eg - back up copies) could not be prohibited unless they were intended for sale or supply to a third party.
So if not for commercial gain or intended to be so, there is no problem at all.
Contact Australian Customs for verification if you like. I brought about 80 pirated DVD's home from Asia just late last year and the Customs Officer did no more than flick through them to ensure none were prohibited by censorship (eg. pornography) |

yes, i got copies of my originals in one big case and i have been searched and asked and i said its for work purposes... piracy is more sinister amongst tradesmen, not amongst users... although i heard stories about busting individuals and punishing them, i really dont see the point, they work so hard to give us a piece of crap that has to be compatible with another piece of crap for loads of money? did anyone check adobe cs4?! CRAP! im not paying 10 dollars for that! |

I'm sure it will be. Unless you get an idiot with no life that decides to search your bag. I doubt that will happen though. |
