If you tick the the box (on the green slip they give you on the plane) that says you have a criminal record, they will check and make an individual assessment based on your circumstances. If you lie about it and don't declare it they will pick you up very easily. Even if you are from the UK. You will be turned back at the airport, put on a plane and sent home. Trust me. |

yes if you declare it and depending on how serious your crime was. ALWAYS declare because you might get here and then find out that you have to turn around. have a chat to immigration or something like that and find your options |

Didn't stop them 200 years ago! In fact it was a necessity!!
However these days it most probably will have an impact on your chances.
If you're just visiting then I'm pretty sure it won't.. but if you're moving there then yeah lol |

I can't see why not, they never ask that question when you book your ticket or obtain a visa. |

one way was to go via NZ as a foot passenger but that's all changed so i hear, I don't think you can get a visa but that depends on the crimes.I guess if you are killer / violent / drugs u have no chance. good luck though |

I hear people asking about entry to countries if they have a criminal record. Why worry about it. I have been all over the world with my record and never once stopped to think something might go wrong. Since when is british criminal data available to the world? Since never. So stop worrying and get on with travelling. |
