Cost of living in Brisbane?

How is the cost of living in Brisbane? Is a monthly salary of AU$8000 is enough for a couple + two Children? What is the tax %?

You should be able to live very comfortably in Brisbane on AU$96,000. Unless you're ridiculously extravagant you'll be able to afford accommodation in a nice area and a good standard of living with plenty left over for saving, travel or whatever. Come to the western suburbs; they're very green, safe and pleasant with great private schools and most of the best public schools.

You'll pay around $25840 tax and Medicare levy per year ($2153.33 per month).

THat is more than enogh to live here

it is not your earnings - it is your spending habits that indicate how much $$$ is enough to live on. For cost of living expenses look at real estate sites or newspapers. check out school websites for cost of private schools. for tax check out the ato website or tax calculator sites

ABCDiamond Britzinoz.com
You will pay about $2,150 pm in Tax and Medicare
You may also "receive" a small amount of Family Tax Benefit.

You should do OK on that income, the average salary in Australia is about $5,500 gross per month.

unless you want to live in one of the really expensive neighborhoods you can easily afford it. $4000gross a month is considered a good income in most areas of town. On $4000 a month before tax, we have a new car, two motorbikes can afford to go to concerts and dine out and make the repayments on a nice larger house in the outer suburbs and still put a little each week into a savings account
