In general the rest of the world hates Americans. I'm American, I have traveled, I know. i am also super quiet, so most people think I'm Canadian. They will be surprised when they hear your accent, they think we all sound like New Yorkers or Southerners. When you tell them you are from the US they will probably say, "I'm sorry."
