Do Australian teenagers stay virgin until they get married? |
I know that cultural and traditional things and beliefs always have a big impact on the way that certain group of people live. However this question is always interesting to me.
Do Australian teenagers stay virgin until they get married??
Since teenagers in other places in the world choose different types of life, I was wondering what a teenage Australian would choose??
Staying virging untill marriage?? Or choosing otherwise???
Please tell me how many percent choose to stay virgin and how many percent choose not to do that?? |

You gotta try before you buy.. And I can not imagine anything worse then having your first time on your wedding night.
Unfortunately we follow the rest of the western world. We have teenage pregnancy, we have plenty of skanks and sl*ts. We also have people with morals who though they don't wait till marriage at least wait until they are in a proper relationship.
I remember when I was 16 2002, majority of people started losing it then and within the next year or two. I am horrified to hear of 12, 13 and 14 year olds having sex like newly wed's. I worry what my future children will be getting up too.
Personally I don't think there is ANY need to have sex before 16 (the legal age in Australia). Even then most of us will admit we were too young (I was 17.5).
In terms of those that do remain a virgin till marriage would be the few religious ones with a vow of chastity, I would guess 10% if that. |

WHat you have to understand is that Australia has the largest proportion of immigrants. That means the culture varies immensely.
So These questions can't really be answered generally because there are an array of people who believe different things.
I don't think you can even answer those questions about Australian born teenagers, because the question is extremely general and all teenagers a different, the culture isn't strict in Australia therefore not all teenagers follow the same path and beliefs. |

You may have to look at Australian government statistics or surveys. I guess 80 percent or greater are not virgin when they get married. With the open nature and more liberal values
that come with being a civilized western nation as opposed
to Asian or Middle eastern countries. |

I think 20% of teenagers' do. But then we're just like every other country. |

I honestly think that these types of statistics will be available if you search the web yourself. Australians will have their own personal view but when it comes to percentages you need to track down information from the statisticians. |

Aye mate, being an aussie teenager myself (i lied my age to yahoo :D ) hahah i know the answer is definitely not. Australia has actually become a big one for sex; and a lot of it. Almost 73% of australian students lose their virginity before the end of year 12, and 23% lose it on one of the prom or ball nights during year 11 and 12.
Hope this helps |

What a creepy question!
Why on god's green earth would you be interested in that?
Sorry to disappoint you, but just like the rest on the western hemisphere very few Aussie sheila still have a hymen when they're married. In my experience they're a bit more open about jiggy-jiggy then most, and that's part of why I'm quite fond of them. |
