You need an Electronic Authority to enter Australia as an EU citizen. This is not a Visa, its a simple application done on line, costs a few Euros, and is good for 6 months |

yes. i am going in mid-february for 2 weeks and i need to have one. go to the australian immigration website and u can get it off there, for AUS$20 (just type it into the search engine) |

I think you need VISA to be able to go to another Continent... But if its within your Continent I dont think you need one...? Europe and Australia are two differnet Continents... o_O |

the visa is normally part and parcel of the ticket when purchasing and dos'nt cost any extra well that was what it was when I travelled in the year 2000. |

absolutely. only in certain circumstances does a person not need a visa. you do not meet those circumstance. you need a visa to enter australia, and if you got here without one you would be sent home straight away. |

If you don't have a visa they won't even let you on the aeroplane at your departure point.
If somehow you manage to arrive in Australia without one then you will be put on the next plane back at your expense. |
