According to A Barnstormer in Oz (Philip J. Farmer, I think) the only known entrance to Oz is only accessible by low speed aircraft. The military have tried using modern aircraft, but the amount of energy necessary to open the porthole large enough is excessive.

I just think aust is better. And at least it will educate the rest of the world out there a bit more about this great southern land. There are way too many people who might think "OZ" is official word to use.
