Hard to answer travel question without knowing your citizenship; "I currently live in the U.K." can mean anything, as UK citizen, as EU citizen, visa-waived as tourist, on a visa, with indefinite leave to remain?

Without knowing that I can just generally tell: you will need a visa for the two week holiday unless you are Australian or New Zealander.

An e-visitor visa may be obtained free of charge on the internet without any personal embassy contact for citizens of Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland. Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom (British citizens), Vatican City.

The ETA visa (Electronic Travel Authorization) works similar. It costs however a service charge of AUS$20 to be paid by credit card. This visa may be utilized by citizens of Brunei, Canada, Hong Kong (SAR), Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United Kingdom - British National (Overseas), United States of America.

The tourist e-visa (subclass 676) can be applied online free of charge by citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates.

All others citizens need a visa to be applied for at a fee of AUS$100 at the Migration Branch of the Australian High Commission in London or Edinburgh.

Jabs are not required unless you have visited or transited a yellow-fever infected country within the last six days prior to your arrival.

No jabs but definatley a visa and a return ticket for visitors.

Travel agents will not sell one way tickets to visitors.

I wanted to go to Australia and visit my uncle but you need a visa and have to go in person to the place in London that gives you them.

I read this information on the internet so not entirly sure if it is true

I am certain that you will need a visa. The Aussies are quite strict when it comes to immigration and the like so I would find out for certain what you will require well in advance. Have fun.

Yes, you will need a visa. Australia brought that in with UK residents when the UK made it mandatory for Australian residents to have a visa when visiting the UK.

As for jabs, depends where your heading, if your going to the northern parts of Australia, as your doctor about dengue fever

The Dark Knight
yes the visa does not take long quite short asking if bringing in over $10,000 dollors
