When it's the Winter here we call it Winter.
In the Tropical areas where it's always warm we have the Dry Season (Winter) and the Wet Season (Summer).

Australian weather and the seasons:

Like all countries in the southern hemisphere (the hemisphere south of the Equator), Australia's seasons follow the sequence:

Summer: 1st December to last day February
Autumn: 1st March to 31st May
Winter: 1st June to 31st August
Spring: 1st September to 30th November

This means that the Australian Christmas takes place at the height of summer.
It also means that the shorter mid-year break for students happens in winter.
The long end of year summer break for students is commonly known as the 'summer holidays', or the 'Christmas holidays'.

Sounds like you are also geographically illiterate. Australia is in the southern hemisphere where it is winter now, while it is summer in the northern hemisphere. . . anything north of the equator. For them mid winter is on June 21 as opposed to European and North American mid summer on the same date.

I don't know what they do in austrailia, but here in Australia we call summer summer and we call winter winter. When it is hot and sunny we call that summer. It is winter here now.

Of course, I am kind of neglecting the parts of the country that are up in the tropics, where it makes more sense to talk about the wet season and the dry season, but I don't want to confuse you.

I'm not sure your question is entirely clear but I'll do my best to answer. I assume you are asking if, even though the weather is hot and sunny is it still called winter. Well yes it is still winter, you will find every country still has a period of months that is called winter the temperature and weather of each country's winter however will differ and not everywhere has a particularly cold winter.
Of course winter in the southern hemisphere is at the same time as summer in the northern.

Yes we do

It does get cold here to!

No. Due to the way the northern and southern hemispheres are divided and have different wind currents....

When it is hot and sunny here, we call it summer. But while we are having this weather... is when it is cold in the Southern Hemisphere and they call it winter.

Then when it heats up down there, it is cooling off here. So during our winter is their summer.

I guess they do technically, since our summer is when the northern hemisphere is tilted towards the sun and the southern (Australia) away...so yea, probably.
