do not choose New Zealand to migrate ...go to Australia instead....you will lose more than you achieve....it is a small country..mostly farming...and tourism is the only source of income..pays are low....and people know how to rip off..everything is expensive comapred to Australia....a lot of abuse and harrasment at work and educational institutes towards foreigners...although the nature is beautiful and that is what makes a fool out of everyone who does not know anything deeper than that...

Not necessarily,If you have finances that you can live on then that`s ok.My brother moved out there some 10 years ago and worked his way up from some initial training though my sister in law went out as a physiotherapist and got work straight away.
It would be easier if you had a skill or trade as you could find work and start living the life, going out on a whim and hoping for the best isn`t a good idea as you will get no help from the government.
Dual nationality will become available after a few years but does take time and you will have a lot of proving your residency to get it.
Best thing to do is get a skill that will be wanted out there and go out for a long break and look around and see what the job market is like, the only other way is to go with a lot of money and self sustain yourself.

My Sister has just moved there with her husband. There is a points system if you are not a skilled worker.

New Zealand is a large island, before going there you may consider this, travel to and from the island is limited to boats and planes. Dah. but really do a serch on line for new zealand and pick job opportunities for foorign labor. They speak english so you don't have that problem, but the unskilled labor force is made up of natives who haven't had the benfit of education. therefore there may not be work for unskilled people

Well, if you could read a map, you would go to Australia!
