Yes, we have snowfields in NSW and Victoria. Mind you, in most parts of Australia it happens either very rarely or never.

Our tallest mountains are even called the Snowy Mountains - my two brothers and their families live in the area.

Australia does get snow, but only in Alpine regions in the southern parts of the country. While it has been known to snow in urban areas, it is still extremely rare, even in the dead of winter.

Australia may have more areas covered in snow than Switzerland does, but that's only because it's so, so much larger in area.

Australia has more area covered by snow in Winter than Switzerland does. You people who said that it doesn't should check the information before making such a stupid statement

Yes, I was there in 1997 and it actually snowed at Ayres Rock. It was the first time in 25 years that it had snowed in that part of Australia.

Fantastic snow. I went to Thredbo in Autumn and the snow was already starting to fall.

In winter the fields of NSW and Victoria get packed. You have different level runs, with amazing tourist infrastructure.
