- the walk along the coast from Bondi Beach to Coogee beach is spectacular.
- New years fireworks over the Harbour bridge seen from near the botanical gardens is a MUST SEE.
- The Zoo and Aquarium are cool if you like animals.
- Paddy's market is fun for buying junk and souvenirs, but also great for buying fruits and veggies. Near the end of teh day, many items are 1 dollar per kilo. They yell out 1 dolla, 1 dolla. They also have toms of free tasters of oranges and stuff.
- BIking around Hyde Park is nice
- Take surfing lessons at one of the beaches.
- The bridge climb is cool but expensive
- Go see a show at the Sydney Opera house
- Go to "the gap" and view the awesome cliffs as the ocean crashes into them. Don't jump!
- Take a bus tour like the Bondi Explorer that takes you all around.
- There are also many day or weekend trips to places like teh Blue Mountains (amazing), the Jenolan Caves in teh Blue Mountains, The olympic park, Port Stephens to see dolphins, Hunter Valley wine tasting, trips to Canberra, the country's Capitol (not too exciting there though), Skiing in the Snowy mountains, etc

The Rocks area is quite fun - they have a market (think it is on a Sunday), with antiques, crafts, Australiania, great snacks, street cafes/bars, and Circular Quay with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge just down a few steps.
