In the past this would not have affected you as it was Baycorp that did credit checks & that did not include NZ info & vice versa. It's now called Veda & I'm unsure if they have a deal with Australia re sharing information. I suggest you call them to ask.
As an ex credit manager, 1 listing for a small amount is not a big deal but you will be seen as dishonest for not paying it unless you had a dispute over the amount. If there's no dispute then your financiers will expect you to clear that debt up & will await an updated credit report from Veda before allowing you to borrow.
