Does it snow in australia?

When it is summer in Canada, is it winter in Australia? And does it snow in Australia?

Yes it's Winter in Australia and the rest of the Southern Hemisphere when it's Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, and vice versa.
It does snow in Australia on the Southern Alps, The Snowy Mountains, on the border between New South Wales and Victoria. It also snows in Tasmania.

In New South Wales the Snowy Mountains receive heavy snowfalls each year, enough to support a large ski industry.
Victoria, like New South Wales has extensive areas of permanent winter snow.
Tasmania is the only Australian state this century were snow has fallen at sea level and settled, albiet for only a short few hours.

When it snows in other parts of Australia the snow melts practically before it hits the ground.
It's nothing like the snow in Canada.

yes mainly in VIC & NSW & ACT

Yes, and yes.

It snows in Australia in the cool temperate regions of Victoria and Tasmania, especially in the mountains, but it can even snow in Queensland sometimes.

It probably snows at the ski resorts in Aussie. (This was a strange question.)

It only snows in mountain areas.

We don't get blankets of snow covering the entire landscape.

How can you not know that when it is summer in Canada it is winter in Australia? I thought that was pretty general knowledge.
And yes, it snows in Australia, quite frequently too.
