What an absolutely brilliant list of fair dinkum Aussie slang! Bookmarked for future reference.
I thought I only ever used a few words of slang, but reading the list tells me that my everyday speech is peppered with it. Now I see why yanks and poms (love the complaint from the poms) have such trouble understanding us! |

We do use a lot of slang, I don't doubt it at all.. Just not the types of slang Americans THINK we use. I mean how often do they think we talk like Steve Irwin or Crocodile Dundee.
I think a lot of the words we use every day without even realising they are slang. |
