There are some good web sites which show the differences between British (as we use in Australia) and American spelling.

We also have grey instead of gray, cheque instead of check, (the money kind) and gaol instead of jail. But in fact our way of spelling was around first, we've held our traditional English spelling where the Americans have simplified the written words a bit...
But for some stupid reason, heaps of Aussies now pronounce the letter "H" as "haich" instead of "aich". Weird huh! I reckon you've got us there!!

This question was asked last day. Favourite color?
I was confused but I understood.
Majority follow British English .....colour. There is a change in voice with the second vowel.
Australians spell colour. Computer age has spoiled spellings.
