Finally somebody who appreciate Tasmania!!! Tasmania is such a beautiful place, it is a shame that many Australians hardly realize that it exists except through their school's geography lesson.
It is one of the most scenic places in Australia, and by far my favorite. Hobart is just superb. Salamanca weekend market is unbeatable. I tasted the best German sausage there. Battery Point, beautiful scenic houses, and I remember a very nice bakkery shop just around the corner, can't remember the name, something like Jill & Rossman or something. Delicious bakery. 'Fish Frenzy', what can I say, delicious fresh seafood with such a reasonable price.
Freycinet peninsula, Coles Bay, Bicheno, all scenic places around Tasmania. There are so many spots in Tasmania I would like to visit. Definitely more trips to that forgotten island of Australia for me, in the future :-) |

The Otago Peninsula, Otago, Southern New Zealand. It's a magic place, serene, breathtaking scenery, penguins, dolphins, windswept hills... and my house happens to be on it.

Loved Cairns and in particular Palm Cove and Cape Tribulation. Loved the outback and seeing Uluru/ Olga's too with sunset and sunrise....awesome.
Lapland.....grey light hours......bright snow and candles set in blocks of ice. The trees covered on snow.
Malta......seeing the so many ornate churches. |

Mount Eden in Auckland. It's a bit of a pain to climb up (even if you can drive up) but once at the top, the view of Auckland is absolutely stunning. You get a 360 degrees view of the whole of the city which is awesome on a clear day :) |
