I think that is a great question, so often people around the world think of snow, hot dinners and log fires when thinking of Christmas. Forgetting about everyone enjoying a summer Christmas.

I just got married this year, my husband and I will be having my parents for Christmas. We are putting an above ground pool in the backyard, lighting up the barbie and drinking! Lots of prawns, beer, champagne and mangoes.

A perfect Queensland Christmas. Merry Christmas to you!

Staying with friends in Paihia, then having a very mixed christmas as our group consists of kiwi, america, canadian, german and Scottish.

None of us has family locally so we'll just relax with a few drinks and possibly some fondue!! Then a trip round to see more friend before a game of touch on the beach!!

For Christmas all the family gets together early in the morning.

It's croissants, pikelets, coffee and champagne before leaping onto the presents. (We let the kids do santa stockings when they wake up so the grown-ups get to sleep until the sun rises and have a chance of a cup of coffee before the grand present opening)

Lunch has now evolved into us making a range of classy salads and we go to our local chinese barbeque shop and get piles of red-cooked barbeque pork, duck and chicken.

Isn't it great living in a mutlicultural country, where there it is possible to buy freshly cooked meat on Christmas day?

Dinner is usually grazing on left-overs or boiled eggs with asparagus dippers.

I'm An Aussie- our extended family does a barbie usually, then we 'kids' sit in a big circle and our presents are handed out. Sumtimes (if there is no fire ban) we also do this thing where we cook chicken n' stuff in the ground. WE make a pit then light a fire in it- then wrap the food in foil and put it in- wait a few hrs then take it out. It sounds silly or even odd but it tastes pretty good- it's supposed to get the juices out or something. Merry Christmas!

I'm living in London so family is not an option but we are having a few friends around for the day and we are having a BBQ. Yes a BBQ, it will be cold but it will be worth it!
