My hubby and I went to Tassie last May for our 10-day honeymoon and fell in love with all of it. We started in Hobart then drove around to end back there. We stayed in B& B's and visited a heap of different places....Cadbury factory, penguins at Bicheno, cheese & fudge factories, The Nut, Cradle Mt...the list goes on and on. We can't wait to go back in a few years when our kids are older. The food was wonderful and all the people we met were so friendly and helpful. Everyone should make the effort and see this beautiful state. : ) |

Tassie is so nice to visit. I went down for the falls festival last year (from qld). Take sunscreen if you go, the sun is so harsh down there that even with light sunscreen on I was burnt bright red.
What he said doesn't know what he is talking about, you can't drive around in one day! |

Yes I've been twice now and I love it...it was pretty darn cold though but very pretty. I loved Strahan the best.... |

Yeah it's awesome. Some of the best bushwalking in Aus. It's cool cause its small and you can like drive around it in a few days. It is NOT boring despite what that person up there said. I used to live there, but not anymore. |

Yes I've been to Tasmania. Only had 3 days in Hobart and it was really lovely . Quite unique with the beautiful harbour and the hills are magnificent. Loved it We then had a fabulous holiday driving to Launceston along the east Coast. Hobart is a little like Wellington In New Zealand. I live on the GoldCoast it's quite different so the contrast was super You don't have the busy traffic like us. and You have an historical history and many places of interest to visit. Home is always where the heart is so it depends what you make of a place how much you love it. The people where friendly as well. |

I went a few years ago and enjoyed it. It's a relaxing place to holiday. I really liked Port Arthur, and a lot of the scenery. |

I love Tassy, I moved here from Sydney 3 years ago and couldn't be happier. There are a few small things that I miss (like a good Pho) but the advantages far outweigh those small things we don't have.
I now get to walk to work, have beautiful views, a vege garden and get some many mainland visitors it sometimes feels like I'm running a B&B. |

I live in QLD but I'm going to Tassie in November for a holiday. We chose Tassie because of the beautiful scenery and contrasts to Far North Queensland. Everyone up here kind of says that Tassie is very similar to New Zealand, I've been to NZ a few times and love it there so I guess I'll find out. Any suggestions as to what we should do while we're there besides the normal tourist stuff? |

I live in the NW, but previously lived in Melbourne for 3 years. I guess it depends on what kinda place you like; I can tell you I have been planning to get back to Melbourne from the minute I got back over here. Finally looks like it's gonna happen at the end of the year, I miss the city sooo much.
The culture in Launceston and Hobart is okay, but otherwise I yearn for something more stimulating!! |

I've been to Tassie many, many times. And there's no particular place that I love any more than another on the island. West coast, east coast, north, south, and all the way through the middle. It's a great place for a holiday. Especially if your vacation time is limited.
In fact, I plan on visiting again for my birthday. I intend on spending the night in Hobart; having a brilliant seafood dinner, and then spending the day at the Salamanca Market. |

I found Tassie rather slow and behind but at the same time serene and relaxing.
Personally I compare it closely with the south island of New Zealand.
Beautiful place to visit but I prefer the city life. |

Of course people have been to Tassie, what planet are you from??
What a person prefers is a personal choice, the only way you will know if you like a place is to go!!
So get of your butt and go |
