Elliott Heads, on the coast about 20 km from Bundaberg is pretty. Nothing happens there, though, except the sun shining and the waves waving.
If you like turtles the beach at Mon Repos, about 15 km to the east is prime turtle nesting territory. At the right time of the year you can see turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs and a bit later you can watch the eggs hatch and the babies bolt for the sea. You can only see it on ranger guided tours. Pretty cool.

Only 1 thing in Bundaberg ... the Rum distillery .... good attractions are the Rum distillery ... and if you spend enough time there .... the whole town becomes ... boootifull ...LOL
There's not much happening at Bundaberg, it is also a sugar cane producing town, along with its Famous Rum distillery, otherwise its a small quiet town.

If you are there the Hinkler house is worth a look. There were some pieces of wood in a plastic bag that have an interesting history. The park nearby is pleasant and there is an old steam locomotive in running order.
Take a look at the Lutheran Church.

The airport is a good attraction. Mostly because it gets you the HELL out of Bundaberg.

If you were going there to live it wouldn't be a bad place. as a holiday destination..... you'd be better off going further south to the sunshine coast and doing a day trip up there to have a quick look.
