Hi, Well I live in Adelaide and have all of my life, I suffer from Hayfever and during winter I'm ok, but Spring and especially Summer It;s horrible, there is a lot of pollen in the air and with the hot, dusty northern winds during summer its murder, I take hayfever pills everyday during summer. Sorry to have to dampen your spirits but just tellin the truth. If you pick a suburb near the beach like Glenelg, Semaphore, etc anywhere along the sea its pretty good, but go to any Northern or Eastern suburbs and Hayfever is bad. Even in the City and beautiful North Adelaide there are so many trees dropping pollen and leaves and with the warm winds blowing it around its almost impossible not to suffer from it. Its funny that you asked because we were only saying this year that the Hayfever in Adelaide is actually getting worse because of the drought we had and still have everything has been so dry . Dont get me wrong Adelaide is a beautiful city just try and live near the beach where there is cooler air and much less dust. Remember Adelaide is a very Dry, Dusty, Hot, Windy place in summer. Cheers Pete.

Here are a couple of links. The Asthma SA site has a pollen count, and the Environment SA page gives current air quality readings.

I get hay fever very bad but when i was on holiday in Australia i had no problems. The air quality there will be far cleaner and better than to UK

Tip, buy a jar of local honey, someone around your area must sell it, when you get to Australia you will be able to buy it where ever you are in Adelaide, give your daughter a dessert spoon of that local honey every single day and she will be a totally different person when it comes to hay fever, it works honest, good luck for your future in Australia.

hay fever is pretty universal - caused by pollens? well we have pollens in australia too.

Nothing to be snezzed at? As it's on the coast any wind will clean any pollen.

Cousin lives there, you'll love it.

All the best on the move.

But Why??

we dont have flowers here or hay. Adelaide is no longer there, it was closed off and moved to Geralton W.A., due to mining boom. Marble Bar is nice though, warm.
