I have never eaten Kangaroo but it is known some have. We like our bar b ques here. Our parks and beach areas have bar b que facilities and most homes have a bar b que. king Prawns are a favourite and a steak and sausages are popular . we always have various salads to have as we like cold food in hot weather. But generally we eat a big variety of food. We are a multi cultural country so have food of many nationalities. Water melon is refreshing and popular as well

I could tell by your spelling where you were from. Funny that..
Our Christmas day is about 3 B's, beach, barbie & beer.

On Christmas day, a lot of people just have a Barbie haha. She melts really nice on the heat and watching her face disintegrate is so much fun.
I personally haven't had kangaroo, but i hear it tastes kinda like rabbit.
Interesting facts about Australia? hmmmm. There's over 150 'Big' things around the country that have been built.
And in Coober Peedy, South Australia, because of the heat, people actually live undeground! They build their places beneath the surface. They have electricity and running water and everything. Also, Coober Peedy is jam packed with a gemstone native to Australia called and Opal (so beautiful) and so it's also the main source of Opals, due to the constant digging.

We have barbeque's with salads, Turkey on christmas day, Pavlova for dessert,

Interesting Fact
One thing we don't do is throw shrimp on the barbie.
We call shrimp Prawns. And they are about $25 a kilogram which is too expensive for most families to buy.

Kangaroo!!

Power Flower
Yep, kangaroo has been available in restaurants for years, but you can now buy it in the supermarkets. And that's not a pull of the leg.

Xmas for most people will involve turkey and ham... as well as prawns, oysters, crab, champagne and beer. A lot of people cook the turkey beforehand and have it cold (it's always so damn hot on Xmas day). Cherries are a Xmas food as well.

Otherwise we're a pretty custom-less lot. We have a huge range of peoples and religions who may observe certain religious food customs. e.g. we have a lot of halal butchers and halal products available in the supermarkets. A Catholic friend has fish once a week. And love them or hate them, I'm yet to meet a person who doesn't like the Hare Krishna's food!

Facts:
Australia is home to the deadly blue-ringed octopus... which is smaller than a huntsman spider.
It's the driest continent.

There are many choices with food. We go to the casino about once a week for an all you can eat magnificent meal. They have sea food, hot roast beef or pork or lamb. BAKED VEGES, & gravy, There are numerous hot and cold fish and meat & veges.
A big salad bar.
Bread rolls, soft drinks, milk shakes, tea, coffee. the cost is AU$22 per person.
We also might have a hamburger one night.
cook a meal at home.
We stay in a high rise apartment on the beach.

It is a very busy place, but great for a holiday.
