Aussies? A bunch of fun loving drinkers who know how to have a good time, work hard and make the most of life. Havent met one i didnt like. The land, well, big and dry. Mostly what comes to mind is either the coasts or sheep, lots of sheep. |

Americans and Australians have many similarities both being ex-British colonies. But I was wondering how many Australians REALLY like vegemite. I thought that it was very salty and it seemed like an acquired taste to me. Also, what does a typical Aussie eat for lunch? |

Actually answering Santa C above - yes we actually do love vegemite - my son, partner and I have it on our toast for breakfast every day - as do most other Aussies. I eat lots of different things for lunch now - but did have vegemite sandwiches every day for the first 10 years of school. |

I have been there and it was great. I was in Sydney for the holidays one year and I saw the start of the race on Boxing day and fireworks New Year's eve. Another year I went to the CART race at Surfer's and had a great time. I want to get back there as soon as I can. |

I“m from Venezuela, in South America, and I like Australia so much that I“ll be moving to Melbourne by June or July. There are great job opportunities in the Engineering field, the cost of living is not as high as it is in the UK or the US, and it“s certainly a lot safer than in my home country, where in last December there were about 500 homicides in Caracas alone. |
