Hey, I just want to let you know?

I have been living in the U.S for 12 years now, and I am coming back to Australia soon. And I am so looking forward to having a meat pie and a chicken roll from red rooster. What would you miss about Australia if you were gone.

OMG!!! I have been living in the US for ages now too, and let me tell you, I LOVE RED ROOSTER!!!! And pies with tomato sauce, and REAL Pavlova, fish and chips (and I'm not talking Long John Silver's). Lemon squash, yum-oh!!! Chicken chips, passion fruit soda, red creaming soda, Jaffas, Mr Whippy, Tim Tams, lamb chops, sausages, Maltesers, vegemite (I can get that here, if I look really, really, really hard) crumpets and treacle, porridge....AUSTRALIA ROCKS!!!

State of Origin evening with friends, pizza and beer

(hmmmm it seems everything revolves around food, doesn't it?)

Probably - wide open country road, calls of magpies waking me in the morning, and YES! meat pie and sauce.

When I came back I went to a traditionall pub, had a couple of VBs, a pie, and the best thing - I could talk with almost anyone and get a decent conversation and a sense of humour.

Welcome back.

what would I miss?

everything! from cold xxxx beer, barbeques, the sun, surf, sand, beautiful weather, rainforest, wildlife in your back yard, native birds whistling in the early mornings, the aboriginal culture, the multi culturalism and their food, vegemite of course, meat pies, hot dogs, home cooked roast, wearing thongs (on your feet), going barefoot too in many places, holdens, rugby league, friends and family and our aussie broad sense of humour.

I lived in Ireland for 14 years and I use to miss clinkers and cheese flavour twisties like crazy some times. My mam used to send clinkers and twisties on the odd occasion and when I got them,it was like heaven. Now that I am home I thought that I wouldn't miss any thing that much from Ireland, but I get teabags and a box of cheese and onion tayto's sent every month.

I have travelled and always enjoy coming back to Australia due to the cleanliness of it. Out of all the other countries I have been too and spoken about, Australia is one of the cleanest in the world. This is something I am proud of and encourage strongly to maintain. Keep up the good work Aussies.

An Ozzie has been living in America for 12 years?

Aw come on - pull the other one.
I mean, I know the Yanks are a bit slow on the uptake - but I can't believe you managed to get away with it for so long!

So how did they eventually find you?
Did you forget yourself and say something really silly - something like - "G'day Mate"?

By the way - when they finally send you back, please pop into little old England on the way and pick up that flippin' Dame Edna will you?
She's driving us bonkers - but Barry Humphreys can stay.

checked.cherry
nothing much. U.S would be awesome!
