Well ......... For a start Americans have no sense of humour (humor).
America is a gun totting nation. You lot are always having shootings over there. Someone walks into a Wal-mart and complains about being short changed and next the cashier gets shot dead as well as 8 other innocent bystanders. Yes for red necks - dark skin people only have to walk in front of a gun totting white American and get shot dead.
You lot are always seem to be preaching god (god bless america).

I could go on ... let's see .... If you get called, "Septic" it means a sewage tank (toilet waste). Also the saying for Septic Tank (Yank).
And my favourite silly American woman. Ginger Meadows (1987 her death). Who in their right mine would jump into the water where a crocodile was???? Americans just HATE being told what to do. Even if it's to save their life. lol

LOL...funny how people can generalise an entire culture but yeah I am guilty of thinking of yanks as uncultured, insular redneck inbred hillbillys who spend an equal proportion of time either pigging out at KFC or chewing tobbacco and playing banjo's..

Well, they call us "Fat Americans" because half the people here suffer from obesity. I know they think we're all lazy and stupid from the way I've seen them treat other Americans (for some reason, they get along with me great, thank God!) I've seen them call a group of American jocks at a beer garden "wankers" because they were the typical loud, obnoxious drunks who didn't realize that they were making fools of themselves 'cause everyone was booing them the whole time. I don't know if that counts as "making fun" though? I just know they see a lot of us as clueless, dumb and rude.

a generalisation would be that they're all fat and ignorant
...though we australian shouldnt really be calling anyone fat because we really have the highest percentage
but the american lifestyle definetly provokes oesity more than australia's, i dunno why we're so fat

It REALLY depends on what country you're going to. You just said "there."
Some places you'll get treated like royalty, some places you'll get treated like crap, and some places the people will treat you as normally as they would their own people.
