1. Aussies are not into religion at all. We are more secular, and only ever go to church for a hatching (christening), matching (wedding) or despatching (funeral).
2. We have a different accent. It's called "strine".
3. Aussies can go bush walking and not be eaten by a puma or a bear!
4. Any Aussie can go skiing in the snowy mountains, and don't have to be rich or a snob to do so.
5. West Aussies have a booming economy whilst West Americans are in recession.
6. We call our cars 'utes' whilst you call them 'pick ups'.
7. No one in Australia goes into their work or school and start shooting people. |

most australians live in cities near the coast. most australians don't care about nba or nfl or baseball. most coloradians don't care about afl, rugby (league or union), or cricket. that's just for starters. most australians have knowledge and awareness about other countries in the world. most australians do not know the words to our national anthem, at best only the first verse. |

I'm Aussie but spent a lot of time in the States, including Colorado. I find American people in general much more polite than Aussies. However, they do have a "States" culture, and don't know much about, nor have any ambition to know about, other parts of the world, other than their own country. |

the towns are very cowboy western type places. where as in australia they do have the country towns with cattle farms and such but the people arent completely different from the ones in the city. where i think in colorado they are just zoned in the there town or states culture. and dont no much else outside of that. |
