How cold is Melbourne now?

Is it cold enough to wear boots? I'm leaving to Melbourne in a few days and just started packing my things. i checked the temperature that it will be around 7 degrees to 11 degrees. but again, not sure if people wear boots there! its my first time to Australia so please forgive my weird question! thanks!

It's freezing! And it's start raining a fair bit too. So bring the boots and maybe an umbrella.
Lots of people wear boots in Australia.
It's not quite 7 to 11 degrees. It gets down to about that in the mornings, but its about 14 degrees now.
Bring the boots, an umbrella and a warm jacket.

Melbourne is a great city. You will love it down there. It will get colder, so pack anything that is warm, lol. Have fun.

the weather in melbourne now ranges between 10-15degrees. winters are quite cool. it is very appropriate to wear boots, especially on rainy days. with jeans or a dress, boots will be fine, dont forget a coat, i can get cold. happy travels- you will love Australia

well dear, we live in sunny QLD and it is cold enough to wear boots so you can guarantee they will be wearing boots in freezing Melbourne. enjoy your holiday.

Generally this time of year Melbourne can get pretty cold so boots, scarves, beanies, gloves, coats...etc are all on the go!! I love Melbourne cause even though it gets cool you can always rug up to get warm! It's been a bit wet though also lately so an umbrella would also be a good idea...

Have you not heard of Uggs?

Safÿre
Well if yesterday morning was anything to go by... it was 3.6*C -- with a daytime high of 11*C. Heatwave! LOL.

Given weight restrictions on luggage (and I'm presuming you're flying), why not leave the boots out, and buy some UGGS when you get here? UGG boots (if you've never heard of them), are made from sheep skin -- woolly on the inside, with rubber soles, and dyed in a variety of colours. (Google Ugg boots).

So why not head up to the Queen Victoria Market, and buy a genuine piece of Australiana - instead of packing your boots in your suitcase? Not only will your feet be tozzy-warm in your Uggs, but you'll also have a great souvenir to take home with you.

PS: EVERYONE knows where the Queen Vic is. Just ask when you get here. Either get a train into the City and jump on a tram up Elizabeth Street; or if you're staying in Melbourne itself, ask your concierge (or anyone in the street), and they'll point you in the right direction.
