It is the same reason why when people from Australia come to England they aren't upside down either. We are all "held on" to the world by gravity, and everyone is right side up. |

Its because they are upside down in England, going to Oz just turns them the right side up. its obvious. |

It is because of the size of the Earth and gravity that we don't get experiences of being upside down in Australia. One way to experiment with this is on a train. If the train travels along a large curve the sense of direction does not really change, even though the direction of travel does. This can be seen by looking at how shadows or the sun appears to move, even though it feels as if you are still travelling in the same direction. If you sit in the end carriage you can see the way the train appears to move along a curve even though the direction seems the same.
Another way is to walk along a long curved road such as a crescent. When you reach the end, it still seems as if you are facing the same direction as when you started. |

Because contrary to popular belief, just because a person is British, Australians are more civilized than to hang people upside down. |

Well the Earth is round, but you're pulled toward the center of it. So if you're in England your head is pointing in the opposite direction than it would be if you're in Australia. You wouldn't be upside down if you went to Australia because the ground is always at your feet. If you want a good visual example of this, you can always check out Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii. |

In a way they are... and so are the people from England relatively to the people of Australia. But given that the Earth is so big in comparison to a human and that like said above gravity keeps us to the ground, we all appear to stand upright ;-) |
|

cause the gravity is equally proportioned around Earth, and it feels like you're upright the whole time... |

because when they come here , they drink aussie beer and eat aussie cheese and meat pie with sauce. It made them "normalised" to the correct way of standing up in Australia.
Clear as mud? |

They ARE upside down but gravity holds them in place.Unless they were upside down in the first place.. then they would be right-side-up.
Hope this helps... sort of. |

Because your feet are always to the ground. Take your fingers and a large ball and walk your fingers around the ball. You can roll the ball to get to the other side. Samething on the earth. You still stand upright all around the earth. Gravity pulls you towards the ground. So upright or rightside up is with your feet on the ground whether north or south side, it doesn't matter. |
