No worries mate, just bring your sense of humour. Most of your preconceptions will be dispelled. We welcome anyone who has a good attitude. Same as other countries.

P.S. We have sealed roads in W.A. too lol

Aussieblonde -bundy'd

As long as they are nice people not criminals or terrorists, we would welcome anybody. Johnno

In general, Australians have the same facination with Americans

as they have with us.

It is all in the accent.

Use it to your advantage and you will do well.

Good Luck

Jimmy

don't compare it is different it isn't worse or better, it is different. that is the point of moving.
On the whole not a problem, just try not to be so loud or arrogant

I get along with Australians and have lots of friends there.
It is going to depend on how you act and fit in.

Ferret
Happy to have anyone so long as they respect our culture. It shouldn't be hard for you to feel comfortable here. It is a lot like America on Valium

ros
you be fine as long as u think like us and dont try to put us down in things we do and say and one good thing to know never call out buddy in a pab cause a fight will be on ....good luck mate,

In the country they might treat you like your special, but in the cities you'll get a lot of flack about American Imerialism and political backlash - George W is not popular, and most believe Americas involvement in any war where there is oil involved (ie, we don't see the US jumping in to help out in Africa, or Asia) as super dodgy!

TonyB
We love Americans here in Melbourne.
