It isn't super easy, but the answer depends on a whole host of things.

1. What is your skill level.
2. What job are you currently doing.
3. Is your job industry currently in demand.
4. Can you find a sponsor in Australia to assist.
5. How well do you speak English?
6. What sort of financial resources do you have.
7. Do you have friends/family in Australia.
8. What is your current citizenship

Lots of different things.

I think your best option is to speak to a migration consultant about your chances and get them to do the paperwork.

I'll put a couple of references in the source list that you should read first:

(BTW, working illegally in Australia is a big no-no. Don't even contemplate doing it!)

I want to go too.
Check out their webpage.
It's not as easy as I hoped for Americans.

supersam82
they work on the basis of the money you have available for business use or what trade you have to offer. however they only take certain people depending what their current requirements are eg if they were short of doctors, then they may let a doctor in but not a carpenter. I think you need about 90k in terms of money. check out the website below

Pretty eze. Australia is very nice. Just get a visa. You'll be out of here in no time. Be sure you have a place to stay there.

Not easy unless you are a highly trained and qualified skilled worker with a large amount of cash savings, no criminal record and very good physical health.

Best visit the Australian Embassy website.
It's not plain sailing apparently.
Even tradesmen like plumbers and nurses aren't getting in.
Max age about 45 too.
Or you have to have a million in the bank to support yourself.
Good luck though!

Boo Boo
i have no idea but it is fabulous here - why would you want to live anywhere else

Not nearly as easy as it is to get into Britain.

asbo_arry
Not as easy as it was...up until the late sixties (I think) some people were actually repatriated. Nowadays you have to send off for visa, stating your economic state and your 'social standing' id est; criminal record, and work experience
