As the man said - Not far enough.
Australia is full of Australians, and Auckland is full of Jafas.
They're both as bad as each other.
But, the closest part of Australia is a 3 hour flight form Auckland. Then if you want to go to Perth or Townsville, you'll have to reclaculate your times.
jstcruizin
that would be a 4 hour flight

About three hours (or there abouts) from Auckland to Brisbane/Sydney by plane.
You would be looking at over a week by boat.

If you drive it could take quite a long time.

Well Where do you want to go to in Australia?
to Sydney is about 3 hours
Perth (on the otherside of Australia) is about 9 hours flight.
Not sure what it all would be in kilometres. Maybe look in an atlas.
