How long does it take to drive from Brisbane to the Gold Coast?

And how long do I need to holiday on the Gold Coast? Not sure what there is to do apart from the theme parks.

Depending on which part of the coast you are going to, it will take between 50 and 90 minutes.

Apart from Theme parks there are wildlife parks, like Currumbin, there's the hinterland with rainforests at Mount Tamborine, you can do Bungee jumping, there's a Ripley's believe it or not, at Broadbeach there's a Casino and Dracula's dinner theatre.

There are plenty of website that will tell you more, Gold Coast or Where else or Qld Tourism site.

about an hour, depending on where abouts you are coming from and want to go.

i would suggest at least a week to stay. there is plenty to see and do.
- beach
- shopping
- casino
- ripleys believe it or not
- hinterlands
- art galleries
- wax museum
- watersports
- currumbin wildlife sanctuary
- theme parks and outback spectacular
- dracula's cabaret restaurant
- huge selection of bars, cafe's, restaurants and clubs

the gold coast doesn't necessarily have to be a place where you "do" anything.
it's a great place to lay on the beach, do a little body surfing, nap in the afternoon, go out to dinner in the evening, lay around the pool at the resort you're staying at.
you didn't say what kind of things you like "doing".

If you are coming :
- from South side then 1/2 hour,
- from the West it can take up to an hour,
- from the city approx 45 to 55 minutes depends on the traffic,
- from the North side just a bit over an hour.

Take M1 - Pacific Highway - it is a short drive and it is worth it.
Don't forget to visit Sunshine Coast too. That is up North from Brisbane.

it takes aprox an hour...
I was born on the Gold Coast and you have to do the theme parks, go up the Q1 viewing deck, Check out the casino!! always something happening there!! Night life in surfers Paradise, beaches and hinterland! Have dinner in Main beach and Broadbeach.... you could even take a longer trip down south and check out byron bay!

The Gold Coast is all about the beach and partying... you will love it :)
