A bloody long time! Which route are you taking?

tentofield
There are various routes you could take but whichever way you go it is going to take a long time. If you take one of the southern routes to get there, come back via Tennant Creek. Mt Isa, Cairns and Brisbane. You are going to spend weeks on the road so you might as well see as much as possible.

If you aren't in a hurry, take your time so you can enjoy the experience, it's a big country & it's better to arrive late than dead on time

Elizabeth
Why would you want to? It's easier to fly.

By road via Mildura and Port Augusta it's 2773 kms and takes 32 and a half hours (no stops included).

Via Broken Hill and Woomera it's 2690 kms and takes 40 hours (no stops included).

From the RACQ Trip Planner.
