Yeah depending on what flight you take and where in australia you leave from it can be between 22 and 24 hours. Although that is NOT counting any stop over time.

LA to Sydney is 14 hours, not 22. Kansas to LA is probably 3 or 4 hours. Allow a couple of hours in LA for transit and you are looking at about 19 or 20 hours all up.

I don't think there is a direct flight from kansas to Sydney, Kansas is too insignificant, you will probably have to go two flights.

It is 22 hours rom L.A. or San Fran. Add 2 to 4 hours for leg from Kansas City (?) to Australia.
