Some figures on the British that I can supply are:

A total of 12,508 UK Born Migrants arrived in Australia in 2003, a not uncommon figure for an annual intake.

In the 2001 census, 12% of Perths population were shown as UK born.

Adelaide was 9%, Brisbane 6%, with Sydney, Melbourne & Hobart each 5%.

In the 2006 Census it shows that there were 856,900 English born people in Australia, and another 130,200 born in Scotland.

There were 104,100 South Africans in that 2006 Census

Between 2001 and 2006, 32,700 people arrived from S Africa, and 89,700 arrived from England, plus more from Scotland and Wales.

Of the former: Not enough
Of the latter: Far too many (Afrikaaners that is)

duplicity
There are many Brits living in Australia. As said before Perth has the highest percentage of expats, in the northern suburbs such as Joondalup, Mindarie over a quarter of the population is British-born.

ha-ha
I heard about 44 at last count.

wotzthepoint?
too many, these groups stick to themselves more so than any other migrant group.

those numbers would be near impossible to check. a record may have been kept but after so many years they would have been destroyed or possibly lost.
