Takes about 11 hours driving time to drive from Sydney to Brisbane. Yes you can drive from one to the other and will probablty cost $150 to $200 in petrol if you drive the trip basically only stopping to get fuel

If you'd like to see the wonderful countryside and small towns along the way, then yes you can drive from Sydney to Brisbane.
We've driven from Melbourne to Brisbane, now that was a long drive! BUT if you enjoy driving and seeing things along the way, its wonderful. There are some beautiful small coastal towns, which you'd never see if you didn't drive. If you are going to drive, do stop and take the time to visit these places if you have the time.
Driving straight through however, should take you around 12 hours. Also, don't speed because the Aussie police on the highways are pretty verocious with speeding fines!

The flight is about an hour and 25 minutes . Costs from $89 to a few hundred as there is a lot of different pricing with airlines and specials. Virgin Blue .JetStar. Qantas all fly that route. To Drive is just under one thousand kilometres and there is an inland route you can drive or the Coastal way . I love driving in Australia . there is such a lot of interesting places to see, Sydney is a bit of a nightmare to drive in so many lanes and such a lot of traffic so easy to get on the wrong road. but never the less if you know where you are going that's fine. un leaded petrol at the moment is about $1.30 a litre

wow! It is a pretty long trip. I think over 15 hours at least! I remember taking several night buses on my stops between Sydney and there. You can deifnitely drive it but I would probably stop for the night.
