How much are internal flights in australia?

Not many airlines fly to Ayers Rock, so the choice is limited which makes it expensive. We get our cheap flights on the web so look up one of the Australian sites like

I had a quick look and the best I saw was AUD454 return on Qantas, so 130 pounds looks pretty good if that was for a return fare.

See http://www.webjet.com.au - keep checking daily as prices can change so often, all depends on seat availability.
Qantas http://www.qantas.com.au is the only airline that flys to Ayers Rock.
Other option is to go from Sydney to Alice Springs - then bus it to Ayers Rock (Uluru)

Look at www.virginblue.com.au they have reasonable prices Check out australian trvel websites and some UK travel agents, STA travel is a good one or Flight Centre. Compare it and work out which saves oy more money. Internal flights can be expensive but can work out cheaper. The net can be cheaper but Travel agent can have some deals. Check them both out - will give you an idea. Also some days and times are cheaper than others. Can get flights for as little as $69 one way.

I know it costs about $100 au to fly from Melbourne to Adelaide... so i would guess $200 au from sydney to ayers rock... try going to google.com.au and googling it using aussie sites =]

if you go to Vrigin Blue or Jetstar they should give you cheap flights. My internal flights cost about $100 Australian.

Go to this link.... it is the Australian flight centre site! entre your flight search and it will bring up all of the airlines that go there with all of the prices from cheapest to most expensive! this way you can compare them straight away!... you can also book on here with your credit card! the earlier that you book the cheaper you get flights!!! =)

the cheapest flights are with virgin blue i use them all the time
you dont get the frills with it like meals, but you can buy snacks on board. It is always cheaper to book and pay on line i do it all the time,you pay with a credit card and print out the info. when you go to the airport to fly with them you show that and picture i.d and get a boarding pass

Internal flights are normally around the $100 mark if you buy on sale. Darwin to Sydney is about the cost of two flights, around $250/$300.

A quick look on Qantas, shows flights at $277 each way. I very much doubt any of the discount airlines fly to Uluru and if they do they wouldnt be direct flights so would cost the same if not more anyway.
