Australia is very safe, it's not going to sink, or explode,
the populace is, in general, very peaceable and are
mostly quite human.
As is the case everywhere else in the World, their are inevitably the odd one or two miscreants who tend to spoil it for everyone else, but on the whole it is probably safer than average, it is a fantastic country, and the Ausies are great people. Go and visit or live there !! |

It is very safe here, but watch out for the drop bears and hoop snakes if you go bush. Spread plenty of Vegemite on yourself and you will be pretty safe it is a good repellent. |

"Maybe the dingo ate your baby" is just a line from Seinfeld.

It's very safe if you ask me. In terms of crime, the levels are low.
Our roads, however aren't really safe... there's quite an amount of deaths on our roads every year.
Back to crime... I personally live in south western Sydney, which is considered as the most dangerous area in Sydney but I had never came across any problem before. God forbid. |

VERY!
sydney is the least safest
melbourne is the second safest city in the world after toronto
and in terms of the animals
well i'm never seen a snake outside of a zoo
i've seen the occasional lizard though, but that's because i live down the road from a creek
i dont know anyone who's been hurt by a wild animal like a shark, stingray, snake etc |

Australia in general is very safe; just as safe as any other developed country.
We don't have guns here (legally anyway) so you don't hear of very many shootings etc..
Do you mean in terms of criminal activity or wildlife as alot of ppl as this Q thinking that the country is just full of killer animals???? |

very dangerous...they have deadly stingrays that killed the croc man!!! then they have roos that bounce all over the place like they're on crack...then worse of all you have aussies...w/guns...no not biceps...the real deal...then you got the outback where you will die if you don't have water...i think you'd be safer at either the north pole w/polar bears or in antarctica w/penguins...hope this helped lol |
