How to travel from Brisbane to Tasmania?

I am an international student in Australia and would like to travel to Tasmania from Brisbane. What's the cheapest and recommended way to get to Tasmania? I do not drive as well and would like to go backpacker's style in Tasmania. Anyone has any recommendations? Thanks.

You can take a direct flight to Hobart or Launceston with jetstar and Virgin from Brisbane. You may like to look at Jetstars friday frenzy between 4pm and 8pm on a friday or Virgins Happy hour each day between 12 and 1pm . There are other flights where you have to change at Melbourne or Sydney but this takes a lot longer of course.

You could fly into hobart and out of Launceston if you like.

It depends on how much time you have to get there?

You could holiday down the East coast and enjoy the scenery, all the way down to either Sydney or Melbourne and catch a ferry to Tasmania.

Fly, Fly, Fly!

Fastest, Cheapest and Safest way to get to Tasmania.

Now you are obviously on a budget, so I would look at Virgin Blue or Jetstar.

You can get tours, weather they are day tours, full multi day tours or whatever...you can find anything on the internet.

Or you can go to any good travel agent like a Harvery World Travel or a Travelworld.
